After the Storm 💨
Now it’s “after the storm”; not that we got much from Isaias here. We’re certainly thankful for that! Unfortunately there have been, as of this writing, at least four deaths from the hurricane.
It was still cloudy when I set out for the salvage store at 7:30 am; and I was a bit concerned about rain. There was a little misting here and there; but I’m glad it didn’t pour.
There are still wind gusts up to 25 mph; so I’m skipping the road bike .today. “After the storm” doesn’t mean we’re done with wind!
Skipping ⏩
Skipping the ride on a still-not-quite-familiar bike sounds wise to me when I could be dealing with strong wind gusts. My legs feel tired today, too. Maybe it’s the switching back and forth between two very different “rides”.
The wind is supposed to die down a great deal by tomorrow morning; so I don’t suppose I’ll be skipping the Sunday ride. I think I’ll work on the road bike for a while; then put in 10 miles or so on the hybrid. Then maybe do some cooking!
