Pack Away 📦
I guess it’s time to pack away the cold-weather riding gear. Overnight low temperatures are now in the low 70s; and afternoons reach as high as 85!
It will be a relief to not have assorted jackets; leg warmers; and other such items cluttering up the place. For one thing, with repeated uses those things do get sweaty; and when I walk through my front door it smells like a locker room in here!
Pack Up 🧳
Once we pack away the Winter cycling clothes, maybe it’s time to pack up the panniers for a bicycle tour! I just hope we won’t find closed roads all over the place.
Only, I’m completely inexperienced with bicycle touring. Except for last year’s RAGBRAI, I’ve never been on such a ride . I have a great deal of admiration for riders who do serious bike-packing — carrying all their gear (tent; camp-cooking needs; etc.); and facing all kinds of weather and road conditions. It’s very different from RAGBRAI!

ABOUT ME
I began this website primarily as a way to present the story of how I accomplished a century ride on an adult tricycle. Other riders of adult trikes might want to know whether it’s possible. It sure is! You can read all about it in My Story.
I live in New Orleans; and retired in January 2023. More time for cycling!
