Here we blow again! Just a few days ago the wind was quite blustery; and now there’s more coming. It’s expected to last through Tuesday night; and I guess I’ll go ride in the park Tuesday morning.

I want to put in a 20-miler tomorrow, Camel-Bak and all; and the wind could already be reaching 15 mph. From the South, too; which means a headwind for the last mile before I get down from the levee. As I said, Here we blow again.

Return of the Chill 🧊

We can expect a return of the chill, too. I’m glad I didn’t put away my heater yet! I might also need hand warmers for my rides.

It looks like I’m not done with layering for the season. When the weather can’t decide which season it is, it’s difficult to know what to wear, anyway!

Speaking of Here we blow again, it’s not too early to start thinking of hurricane season. We were lucky last year; but who can say what this season will be like?

Gosh, I get tired of that! But I guess I’d rather have to watch the hurricanes than be in, say, Oklahoma, where tornadoes are common!

ABOUT ME

I began this website primarily as a way to present the story of how I accomplished a century ride on an adult tricycle. Other riders of adult trikes might want to know whether it’s possible. It sure is! You can read all about it in My Story.

I live in New Orleans; and  retired in January 2023. More time for cycling!
