RAGBRAI 2025 WRITE-UP 🌽
In the days following my return home from RAGBRAI 2025, I posted a number of blogs about my experience with the ride; but never got around to putting them all in one place.
There were good things; and some things were — well — I wouldn’t want to repeat them. For instance, the fourth night, when a heavy downpour resulted in a flooded tent!
At the Day Zero Expo, I had the pleasure of meeting Ryan van Duzer and Ride with Dan. Over the ensuing week, I got to try many foods: Beekman’s Ice Cream! A cheddar-bacon-sourdough sandwich! — but neither my wallet nor my stomach size permitted my sampling everything.
Unfortunately I kept having mechanical issues with my bike 🫤; and had to SAG far more than I wanted to! I can’t do RAGBRAI this year (2026) because of an accident I had last Fall; but I hope to do it again some time.

This was in May, 2019. After watching that video over and over, I began to actively seek out more videos about RAGBRAI; and there were plenty of them! The more of those videos I watched, the more my interest grew. All the same, it was several years before I decided to tackle RAGBRAI; and 2025 was it!
