Saddles & Baskets 🧺

Finding the right saddle for you is as important as any other aspect of cycling. The rule of thumb is: a narrow and firm saddle for riding fast and/or for long distances; and a wider, softer saddle for short, easy cruising. The most vital thing is that your saddle supports your sit bones.
A bicycle basket is handy for carrying small items, such as a picnic lunch. I think many of us have seen riders transporting a small pet in a bicycle basket. Just don’t overload the handlebars with a basket or anything else; or bicycle handling will be affected.
