UN-BIKE? What’s that?

It’s a corny term; and rather a joke — not meant as any kind of insult. But to me, a bicycle (tricycle, unicycle) is something you use outdoors; and to get somewhere. 

There are bicycles meant solely for indoor exercise; and they don’t go anywhere. They’re bicycles; yet in a sense not bicycles. I knew one or two people at work who had under-desk pedaling machines; and those don’t go anywhere, either.

I’ve seen people with lower-leg injuries using a sort of scooter to get around. There are no pedals involved. Ellipticals can travel fast; but again, there are no pedals. Hence the term, Un-Bike.
