Recovery Drink 🩺
When I’m just back from a Sunday long ride; or have just finished a weekday ride that included hard intervals; I want a recovery drink. Chocolate protein powder is my go-to “magic formula”; and now and then I try something different. Sometimes I use almond milk; and sometimes I use dairy milk: one cup of milk to one serving of the protein powder.
Until June 2023 I didn’t have a blender; and the protein powder takes a while to dissolve if you can’t blend it. I used to mix it up the night before and let it sit in the fridge. Now that I have a blender, I can be more elaborate, and make smoothies — with frozen blueberries! One of these days I’ll try half a banana instead of blueberries. I bet raspberries would be good, too.
